Connecting Pastors: Bridging Faith, Building Community

The purpose of this newsletter to share with our friends in America and all around the world the wonderful people of the Philippines. We created this “Connections Newsletter” to give you the opportunity to connect with these amazing pastors.

Feel free to add them on your social media. Our website will give you a short introduction to some of the pastors we work with and their social media links.

Most of them are very young, in their early 30’s age wise. Please keep them in your prayers. Philippines is a country with lots of poverty, so most ministers struggle financially as you can imagine.

Prayerfully consider “adopting” at least one of these pastors. Uphold them in your prayers, connect with them and encourage them via social media, and if God puts in your heart, perhaps sending any financial gift. If you decide to do so, let us know, and we will explain the process. Basically, we use Western Union.

Not all of us can go out to the mission field, but most of us can send a monthly donation to a pastor from a third world country. Let me know if you have any questions. It’s the great commission

It was a beautiful and sunny day, and 2 friends were heading to a waiting shed to catch a ride to the city. Little did they know that this ordinary trip would turn into an extraordinary encounter with a woman.

The woman they are referring to is the 83-year-old woman in the picture. Her name is Petra. She appears to be lonely and may have been wearing the same clothes for a while. As they sat there, they felt a prompting to share about Jesus with her.

They began to strike up a conversation with her and asked if there was anything they could pray for. She seemed hesitant at first but eventually warmed up to them. Upon discovering that she was a widow and may not have many friends, their hearts went out to her as she seemed to be experiencing loneliness. When she mentioned that she wanted to become rich, they shared with her that material wealth and prosperity are not the key to a fulfilling life and do not bring lasting satisfaction.

As they talked, they sensed that there was a hunger in her soul, a longing for something more in life. They saw this as an opportunity to share with her about their personal faith in Jesus Christ and how she can establish a meaningful relationship with God. She told them that she used to go to church when she was younger, but she stopped going many years ago. She doesn’t have a Bible, and she reminded them of many people in the Philippines who grew up in religious environments but don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus.

They asked her if she would like to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior that day. She said yes, and so they prayed for her. When they opened their eyes, they saw a glimmer of hope and joy in her eyes. They felt a sense of peace knowing that they had planted a seed of faith in her heart. She told them that she didn’t have a Bible, so they said that they would get her one. They got her address and a few days later, they gave her a Bible. They also learned that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.

In closing, they encourage us to be open to sharing our faith with those around us, even if it may seem uncomfortable or unconventional. We’re encouraged to be bold in our faith and trust that God will use us to spread His love and message to the world.

As they continue to spread the message of Jesus’ love, they requested our prayers and support. It’s much appreciated!
